As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your responsibilities will include developing innovative software solutions, creating high-quality production code, and contributing to the architecture and design of complex applications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and troubleshoot software solutions using innovative approaches. - Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain seamless system integration. - Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met. - Identify hidden problems and patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture. - Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and stay updated on emerging technologies. - Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. **Qualifications Required:** - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with a minimum of 3 years of applied experience. - Proficiency in Java programming and coding. - Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages. - Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. - Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. - Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile). **Additional Details:** - Preferred Qualifications include proficiency in Java programming, Spring Boot, and Microservices. - Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS (EC2, EKS, S3), is highly preferred. - Strong experience with NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB) and relational databases. - Familiarity with Kubernetes and Kafka is a plus. - Good understanding of the financial and banking industry can be beneficial in this role.
