PROCESS BRIEF

Buy Side Engineering is responsible for FactSet s industry leading Portfolio, Risk, Quantitative, and Fixed Income products. These products are used by thousands of Asset Managers around the world every day to assist with investment decisions, analysis of performance, risk management, and the presentation of results. Analytical Product Engineering s product space represents a high growth opportunity for FactSet.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new applications and enhancements to existing RMS products
• Maintain and fix bugs in existing applications
• Work with Product Development to understand project requirements and work with other Engineers on the technical design of those solutions
• Apply best practices to their own work, and propagate this information within the team
• Take code reviews and maintain project and operational documentation
• Collaborate with other engineers and Product Developers in a Scrum Agile environment using Jira and Confluence
• Estimate task sizes and regularly communicate progress in daily standups and biweekly Scrum meetings

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 2-5 years of industry experience
• Experience with

  C#/.Net core, TDD, Entity Framework, postgres

  .
• Expertise with

  JavaScript-based frameworks, especially VueJs, or React

• Experience with NodeJS
• Professional JavaScript experience
• Experience in front end unit testing frameworks like Jasmine, Jest and e2e testing is required
• Strong frontend design and styling skills
• Experience with

  AWS

  is a plus.
• Experience building RESTful services
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a geographically diverse team
• B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
