Job Description

As a Software Engineer II - Android at Mastercard, you will be a part of the Cloud Commerce team, contributing to the advancement of the customer experience strategy through innovation and problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include designing, coding, documenting, and testing components to a high standard. You are expected to find and implement the best-fit solutions in a timely manner, define processes, select development tools, interpret technical specifications, perform testing, and ensure code maintainability. Key Responsibilities: - Design, code, document, and test components/subsystems to high standards - Find and implement the best-fit solutions to address requirements on time - Assist in defining processes and selecting development tools - Interpret technical specifications to produce detailed designs - Conduct functional and performance testing - Ensure code maintainability and version control - Provide task estimates and complexity assessments - Contribute to project scheduling - Share knowledge of technologies with team members and other functions - Work in an Agile environment and deliver commercial-grade software - Proactively enhance user experience and consumer value proposition Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline - Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android development - Experience with Jetpack Compose, Retrofit, and OkHttp - Knowledge of SSL Pinning and mobile app security best practices - Understanding of Android Services and their lifecycle - Experience with APIs, SDKs, and continuous integration - Ability to work with Kotlin Coroutines and Hilt for clean architecture - Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Join Mastercard, a global company with connections in over 210 countries, dedicated to building a sustainable world that unlocks priceless possibilities for all.
