Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects that drive our companys success. The position requires no travel and operates during day shifts.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software applications using CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design implement and test software solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility and design within time and cost constraints.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software applications to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
Optimize existing code and systems for performance improvements and scalability.
Document software specifications and design processes to ensure clarity and consistency in development.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
Implement software updates and patches as needed to address security vulnerabilities and improve functionality.
Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of software projects and adherence to project timelines.
Conduct system testing and validation procedures to ensure software meets specified requirements.
Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Contribute to the development of software architecture and design strategies that align with company goals.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback and refine software solutions.

Qualifications

Possess strong technical skills in CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol essential for developing robust software applications.
Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to address complex software challenges.
Exhibit excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Show a proactive approach to learning new technologies and adapting to changing project requirements.
Have a solid understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
Display attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Experience in hybrid work environments balancing remote and in-office collaboration.

Certifications Required
