Job Description

Key Skills:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Research, design, implement, test, and release new database features and enhancements.
Write high-quality C/C++ code with comprehensive test coverage.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
Investigate and resolve correctness, stability, and performance issues in distributed query execution.
Identify and implement performance improvements such as plan optimization, batching, parallelization, or distributed query pushdown.
Enhance database scalability to support larger clusters and higher transaction throughput.
Contribute to Database open-source community through code, discussions, and documentation.

Skills Required:

Strong hands-on experience with C++ / C/C++ and system-level programming
In-depth understanding of database internals, indexing, query execution, and storage engines
Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and operating system fundamentals
Experience working on distributed systems or scalable backend components
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure / GCP (good to have)
Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools to analyse performance and stability issues
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and modern software development practices
Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, research-driven engineering environment
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
