Software Engineer (Backend)

What You'll Do We're seeking an experienced backend engineer who enjoys shipping quickly and working alongside designers and engineers to iterate fast on backend, API, and platform features. Write Modular Code: Build adaptable, modular systems to support evolving requirements. While our primary language is Python, your ability to learn quickly is more important than deep experience in one language. Design & Maintain Database Models: Create scalable, optimized MySQL schemas with a focus on performance and integrity. Implement Offline Processing: Contribute to asynchronous workflows and batch processing pipelines. Solve Technical Challenges: Tackle complex architectural problems, app state syncing, real-time collaboration, and third-party integrations. Shape Backend Architecture: Use modern backend stacks (Python, Flask, MySQL) to build scalable APIs and backend systems. What We're Looking For Senior-level IC: Youve built backend systems before and dont need a ramp-up period. Highly Productive: You ship high-quality code quickly and know when to lay foundations vs. use duct tape. Curious & Fast Learner: Comfortable diving into unfamiliar repos and learning from users. Startup Energy: Youre comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Startup experience is a plus.
