Software Engineer (Backend)

As a backend software engineer at Arista, you will have the opportunity to work on CloudVision, an enterprise network management and streaming telemetry SaaS offering used by major companies across various industries. You will be responsible for owning your project end to end, from defining requirements and designing the architecture to building the backend, writing automated tests, and deploying the product into production. Additionally, as a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in mentoring and growing new team members. This role requires a strong and broad software engineering background, where you will not be limited to any single aspect of the product or development process. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own your project end to end, collaborating with product management and customers - Design and build scalable backend systems in a SaaS environment - Write automated tests and deploy the product into production via the CD pipeline - Mentor and grow new team members - Contribute to the development of network management and analytics applications **Qualifications:** - BS/MS degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of relevant experience - Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages (Go, Java, Python) - Experience developing distributed systems or scale-out applications in a SaaS environment - Experience with developing scalable backend systems in Go is a plus - Additional experience in network monitoring, network protocols, machine learning, or data analytics is a plus At Arista, engineers have complete ownership of their projects, and the management structure is flat and streamlined.
