Software Development Engineer

As a part of Kaleidofin, a fintech platform dedicated to providing financial solutions for low-income customers and informal economy businesses, your role will involve designing and developing products in collaboration with the business team. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in coding and taking ownership of software components. Your responsibilities will include building scalable, enterprise-ready backend architectures to support millions of users concurrently. It is crucial for you to adhere to strong engineering best practices and advocate for their implementation. Additionally, you will be expected to be well-versed in information security responsibilities and comply with them. Please note that this position requires mandatory work from the office in a hybrid model. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop products in coordination with the business team - Gain hands-on coding experience and take ownership of software components - Build scalable and performant backend architectures to support millions of users - Advocate for and implement strong engineering best practices - Adhere to information security responsibilities Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of experience in software product development - Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering from a reputed institute - Strong understanding of CS fundamentals, algorithms, and excellent problem-solving skills - Background in product development or e-commerce - Demonstrated stability in previous associations - Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST API development - Experience with at least 1 RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases - Hands-on experience with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Gradle/Ant, Kafka, Git/Bitbucket - Experience in writing high-quality code with unit and integration tests - Familiarity with open-source tech stack like Grafana, Kibana, Jira, Prometheus, Redis/Memcached, and Celery - Knowledge of test-driven development and AWS tech stack is a plus If you meet the requirements and are excited about the opportunity to work on large scale systems impacting millions of customers, please reach out to us at careers@kaleidofin.com.
