Job Description

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong automation and quality engineering skills. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions, while also contributing to manual testing efforts when needed. You will collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure we deliver high-quality, reliable, and well-tested software.
What You ll Do

Quality Strategy & Testing: Collaborate early with product and engineering teams to define requirements, acceptance criteria, and testing strategy, combining exploratory testing, AI-driven insights, and risk-based prioritization to prevent defects early.
Automation & Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using MABL, Playwright/Cypress/Selenium , including Python-based test suites, complex selectors, and integrations with AWS via APIs and WebSocket s.
CI/CD & Mentorship: Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), maintain pipeline-as-code, and mentor junior engineers while defining organization-wide best practices and the Testing Pyramid .

What youll need for this role
Key Qualification Requirements

3-4 years of experience as an QA Automation Engineer in automating testcases and building framework using:
- - MABL
  - Cypress/Selenium
  - Python/Playwright
Experience with Mabl or similar low-code/no-code test automation platforms (e.g., Testim, TestProject, Katalon, etc.)
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript / Python for test automation and scripting.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Exposure to testing microservices, APIs, or distributed systems .
Expertise in writing robust XPath for UI element identification.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and STLC , with hands-on experience in functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
Experience with manual and automation testing , using tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar test management systems .
Hands-on experience with Git and version control best practices.

Additional Skills and Experience That Will Be A Plus

Familiarity with video technologies, including:
- - ffmpeg, mediainfo, ffprobe
  - Video formats, streaming protocols, codecs, and ancillary data.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
ISTQB certification (Nice to have)
