Summary (Siemens Opcenter version):We are seeking a highly skilled MES Application Development Lead with hands-on experience in Siemens Opcenter Execution (Discrete, Electronics, / Process/Pharma) . The candidate will be instrumental in delivering, maintaining, and upgrading MES solutions as part of a multi-year, global manufacturing digital transformation. Responsibilities include driving migration from legacy MES systems to Siemens Opcenter 2210 or newer, ensuring multisite rollout compliance, and integrating with enterprise systems like SAP ERP and shopfloor control systems (e.g., PLCs, OPC UA/DA). The role spans end-to-end MES lifecycle ownershipfrom requirements and design through development, deployment, and supportwhile adhering to ITIL service management and global collaboration standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, configuration, and deployment of Siemens Opcenter MES (Discrete / Execution Core / / Process/Pharma) solutionsDrive migration projects from legacy MES platforms (e.g., Apriso) to Siemens Opcenter 2210/2310Extend Opcenter UIs with custom POD (Production Operator Dashboard) plugins and web-based interfaces, including Android handhelds and HMIsDesign and implement MES-to-SAP integrations using Opcenter Integration Framework (OIF) or custom middlewareIntegrate Opcenter MES with industrial automation and control systems via OPC UA/DA and PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)Ensure solutions are multisite-capable, version-controlled, regression-tested, and ready for global rolloutHandle incident and change management using ITSM tools (e.g., Jira/ServiceNow) in a 24x7 support environmentConduct unit, system, and stress testing, code reviews, and performance optimizationsCollaborate with global delivery teams (India, Poland, etc.) and manage stakeholder communication effectivelyContribute to release planning, service continuity, and minimize disruptions during deployment or upgradesPropose standardization practices, reusable components, and best practices for Opcenter MES delivery and supportProfessional & Technical Skills:
Must-Have:Siemens Opcenter Execution (MES) Discrete or Electronics modules, Ignition SCADA, Java, SQL/PLSQLStrong experience with Opcenter MOM architecture, POD customization, and scripting (JavaScript, C#, or VB.NET) for Opcenter extensionsFamiliar with Opcenter Integration Framework (OIF), REST APIs, and SAP-MES data flowsDeep knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC UA/DA, MQTT) and integration with control systemsProficient in working with Oracle/PostgreSQL databases, DevOps, and source control (Git, SVN)Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end MES implementation projects and ERP integrationGood understanding of ITIL-based support models, incident management, and change control
Qualifications:Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related engineering discipline experience in MES, manufacturing IT, or industrial automation systemsExperience in automotive, electronics, or industrial manufacturing domainsStrong communication, team collaboration, and analytical skillsCertifications in Siemens Opcenter, Ignition Gold, or equivalent MES tools are a plusAdditional Details:Location:Bengaluru, IndiaMust be flexible to support global time zones and work in a distributed Agile/DevOps modelAvailability for on-site client workshops and rotational support coverage is required15 years of full-time education is mandatory Qualification
