The Role

Were looking for a Social Media Manager who can lead Cityscopes voice across platforms, design and deliver high-impact content, and grow engaged communities both online and offline. This is a full-time, hands-on role where youll shape our brand presence, drive conversations, and turn Cityscope into the go-to hub for city life and creators.

This isnt just a job its an opportunity to build and lead the marketing and community vertical from the ground up. Youll have creative freedom, a strong support system, and the chance to create meaningful impact at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Content Leadership

  • Develop, plan, and execute original, high-impact content across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
  • Ideate creative campaigns, reels, carousels, newsletters, and community content that showcase Cityscopes partners, creators, and city experiences.
  • Design visually striking assets (graphic design, motion, GIFs, short-form video). Bonus if youre comfortable in Figma, Canva, or video editing tools.

Community & Engagement

  • Build and nurture Cityscopes local creator, business, and community networks across cities.
  • Monitor trends, conversations, and cultural moments; proactively identify opportunities for Cityscope to participate and lead.
  • Moderate and manage active online communities (including WhatsApp groups, Discord, or forums) with a consistent, engaging, and authentic voice.
  • Partner with Cityscopes Content Lab to co-create storytelling formats (articles, reels, local guides, shows, masterclasses).

Strategy & Growth

  • Define and execute Cityscopes social media and community growth strategy aligned with business goals (audience growth, engagement, retention, partner acquisition, revenue).
  • Experiment with new formats (live video, AR filters, collaborative content with creators).
  • Build partnerships with local businesses, event organizers, and influencers to amplify reach.

Performance & Insights

  • Own the social media calendar and publishing workflows.
  • Develop an analytics and reporting framework to measure engagement, growth, sentiment, and campaign ROI.
  • Share actionable insights with leadership and product teams to refine Cityscopes community-driven approach.

What we&aposre looking for

  • 25 years of hands-on experience managing social media for a brand, startup, or media company.
  • Strong creative skills ability to ideate, write copy, and design engaging content. Video editing, motion graphics, or meme-making skills are a big plus.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, Sprout, or similar).
  • Solid grasp of platformaudiencecontent fit across Instagram, Twitter/X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging social platforms.
  • Experience creating and managing paid campaigns (Facebook & Instagram Ads), including budget planning and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with community management best practices: writing style guides, moderating active groups, and fostering healthy, inclusive conversations.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret engagement metrics and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (fluency in Hindi or regional Indian languages is a plus).
  • A collaborative, creative spirit with a passion for local culture, storytelling, and digital media.
  • Bachelors degree in Mass Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
