Job Description

As a Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, your primary responsibility will be providing clients with a managed service to ensure the continuous operation of their IT infrastructure and systems. You will proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems, ensuring that service levels are met and restored efficiently. In this entry-level engineering role, you will focus on offering first-line support for standard and low complexity incidents and service requests across multiple technology domains such as Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications, and Collaboration. Additionally, you may also support project work as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor client infrastructure and solutions. - Identify and resolve problems and errors in a timely manner. - Investigate incidents to determine root causes and provide necessary support to clients via phone or chat. - Schedule maintenance activities for patching and configuration changes. - Collaborate with team members for shift handovers and incident escalations. - Ensure efficient incident and request resolutions. - Update knowledge articles and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation. - Contribute to project work including Disaster Recovery functions and tests. Knowledge and Attributes: - Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse cultures and social groups. - Strong project planning abilities considering potential changes. - Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure. - Willingness to work extra hours when required. - Active listening skills and adaptability to changing circumstances. - Client-centric approach focusing on creating a positive client experience. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in IT/Computing or equivalent work experience. - Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Certified, AWS Certified, Veeam Certified Engineer, etc., are desirable. - Basic knowledge of ITIL processes. Required Experience: - Entry-level experience in troubleshooting and support within security, network, data center, systems, and storage administration. - Familiarity with management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the technical domain.
