Snowflake - Tech Lead

JOB POSITION

• Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking for a Tech Lead a talented and motivated Snowflake, AWS along with SQL, ETL Enthusiast to join our team.
• Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting our data analytics initiatives.
• This role requires a deep understanding of both SQL and Database Management and ETL Processes as well as mentoring teams in their day-to-day task and help as and when needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Lead the design AWS and snowflake-based teams including interoperability formats.
• Architect data models and scalable integration solutions.
• Conduct advanced data analysis to drive business insights.
• Build and enforce test automation strategies for data validation.
• Build end to end AWS Architecture using Snowflake.
• Lead the technical team with end-to-end responsibility.
• Prior Clinical, Provider and FHIR interoperability is Mandatory.
• Payer to Provider knowledge in FHIR interoperability and vice versa.
• Knowledge in Postgres, Snow streams, Linux, Kubernetes, EKS, EMR, Glue,  Python, Change Data Capture (CDC), Parquet files, Extracts.

QUALIFICATION

• Full time IT Engineering or equivalent degree (preferably in Computers)

EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years over all experience
• Experience in data engineering, ETL architecture, and test automation.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering scalable data solutions.
• Experience with ETL tools, orchestration frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with data warehousing platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and Knowledge of data lake architectures and streaming data platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
• Hands on experience in Clinical Data.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data pipelines and ETL frameworks.
• Architect scalable, fault-tolerant data solutions that support real-time and batch processing using AWS snowflake.
• Manage and optimize large-scale database environments with a focus on performance, scalability, and cost control.
• Define and enforce data governance, lineage, and cataloging standards.
• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business leaders to deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions.
• Work with DevOps and QA teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and testing of data systems.
• Drive performance tuning of complex SQL queries and ETL workflows to ensure sub-second response times.
• Resolve critical data quality, latency, and reliability issues across systems.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Implement advanced security protocols, including encryption, auditing, and access control.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and deep understanding of database internals and performance tuning.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
• Must have health care knowledge on clinical data and end to end flow of data through an application.
• Should be able to take ownership of end-to-end application and get the work done from junior associates.
