SME (Medical Coding & Revenue Cycle Management)

Role Overview: As the Head of Medical Coding at RapidClaims, your role will involve leading and managing the coding team, ensuring compliance, and driving excellence in coding operations across various medical specialties. You will be responsible for engaging with clients, auditors, and stakeholders while leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance medical coding processes. Key Responsibilities: - **Leadership & Oversight:** Lead, mentor, and manage the coding team to ensure accuracy, productivity, and compliance with industry standards. - **Client Engagement:** Serve as the primary point of contact for coding-related client interactions, audits, and reviews. Present coding strategies and outcomes clearly and professionally. - **Strategic Collaboration:** Collaborate with operations, product, QA, and compliance teams to align coding workflows with company objectives and technological advancements. - **Training & Development:** Oversee ongoing training programs to keep the team up-to-date with regulatory and procedural changes. - **Reporting:** Provide detailed reports on coding accuracy, productivity metrics, and audit results to both internal leadership and clients. Qualifications Required: - **Certification:** Possess CPC, CCS, or equivalent certification from AAPC or AHIMA. CRC or CPMA certification is a plus. - **Experience:** Minimum of 18 years in medical coding, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Extensive exposure to surgery and multispecialty coding is preferred. - **Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management** - **Client-Facing Skills:** Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in handling US-based clients. - **Team Management:** Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop high-performing coding teams. - **Analytical Thinking:** Proficient in resolving complex coding issues, analyzing trends, and optimizing workflows. - **Professionalism:** Uphold high ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a collaborative leadership style.,
