SME - Digital Network & Security

As an experienced professional in network and security technologies, you will be required to have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in Gigamon/Splunk technologies. You must have certifications in one of the mentioned areas to qualify for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Carefully plan the deployment of Gigamon solutions, considering the network topology and traffic patterns. - Collaborate with the client's IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of Gigamon devices into the existing network infrastructure. - Continuously monitor network traffic at various points in the network to capture data packets. - Analyze packet-level data to gain insights into network performance, application behavior, and potential security threats. - Manage a network of TAPs and Gigamon Packet Brokers for efficient capture of network traffic. - Develop traffic filtering and segmentation policies to forward only relevant traffic for analysis. - Create detailed flow maps to illustrate network traffic patterns for capacity planning and troubleshooting. - Implement load balancing strategies to evenly distribute network traffic among monitoring tools. - Configure SSL decryption capabilities within Gigamon to inspect encrypted traffic for security analysis. - Capture and store network packets efficiently for historical analysis and forensic investigations. - Monitor network performance metrics such as bandwidth utilization, latency, and packet loss. - Detect and analyze security threats within network traffic and collaborate with security teams to respond promptly. - Conduct network forensics investigations using historical packet captures to reconstruct events. - Oversee the management and maintenance of monitoring and analysis tools integrated with Gigamon. - Develop custom scripts or automation workflows to enhance Gigamon's capabilities. - Implement alerting rules and thresholds within Gigamon to proactively detect network anomalies. - Continuously optimize Gigamon configurations and policies to ensure efficient traffic capture. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of Gigamon configurations, policies, and network diagrams. - Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and training for internal staff and client stakeholders on Gigamon tools. - Establish and cultivate relationships with Gigamon and other relevant vendors. - Stay informed about product updates, enhancements, and emerging technologies to benefit the client. - Ensure Gigamon configurations and monitoring practices align with regulatory compliance requirements. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in network and security. - Prior experience in a 24x7x365 Global operations environment. - Knowledge of Network Monitoring & ITSM tools. - Good Conceptual understanding of network & security technologies including Wireless and SDWAN. - Good understanding of ITIL processes. - Good communication skills.,
