Smart Plant Administrator

As a System Administrator at our company, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) software environment to ensure optimal performance and availability. This includes tasks such as installing, configuring, and upgrading SP3D applications and related tools on servers and user workstations. You will also be responsible for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to maintain system integrity. In addition to system administration tasks, you will also be providing user support and training to engineers and designers using SP3D. This involves addressing queries, resolving issues promptly, and conducting training sessions and workshops for new users on SP3D functionalities and best practices. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining user documentation, including guides, process flows, and FAQs. Another key aspect of your role will be data management within the SP3D environment. This includes ensuring the integrity and security of project data, implementing backup and recovery procedures, and overseeing database management, including data setup, maintenance, and performance tuning. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand project requirements and tailor SP3D configurations accordingly. Additionally, you will assist in the development of design standards and templates to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Quality control measures will be implemented and monitored by you to ensure compliance with company standards and project specifications. Regular audits of the SP3D environment will be conducted to identify areas for improvement, and corrective actions will be implemented accordingly. As part of your responsibilities, you will prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and user instructions. You will also document issues and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference. You will act as the primary point of contact for SP3D software vendors, managing updates, support services, and license renewals. Staying updated on new features and enhancements in SP3D and evaluating their applicability to our operations will also be part of your role. Collaborating with project managers to align SP3D resources and support project timelines and deliverables will be essential. Participating in project kickoff meetings to understand requirements and scope of SP3D usage in projects will also be required. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the SP3D environment will be a key aspect of your role. Staying current with industry trends in 3D design technology and recommending innovations to enhance functionality will also be expected from you.,
