Skin Therapist

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform skin therapy treatments including but not limited to: facials (basic, medical, hydra-facial), chemical peels, micro-needling, dermal rollers, photo facials, non-ablative radiofrequency, laser hair removal / reduction, Q-switch lasers, CO₂ lasers, etc. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and consumables in line with hygiene, safety, and operational protocols. Assist the dermatologist during procedures (minor surgical / cosmetic as needed), e.g., with setup, patient prep, post-treatment care. Carry out skin & scalp / hair consultations to assess skin type, conditions, and recommend treatment plans (including home care). Provide advice & counseling to clients about skin care regimes, product usage, pre/post treatment care, expected results. Manage client records, document treatment plans, progress, and any adverse reactions. Ensure inventory of treatment-related supplies is maintained; report low stock or maintenance issues. Uphold strict sterilization, hygiene, and safety standards (both for equipment & clinic environment). Deliver excellent client experience — by being professional, empathetic, punctual, maintaining appearance & communication standards. Achieve assigned treatment / revenue targets; may involve upselling skin care products / packages where appropriate. Stay updated with latest dermatology / aesthetic therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices. Participate in training / workshops as needed. Qualifications & SkillsCertificate / Diploma / Degree in Skin Therapy / Cosmetology / Aesthetics or allied field. Related medical background (nursing, paramedical etc.) is a plus. Proven experience: [e.g. 2-5 years] working in dermatology / aesthetic clinic / skin care setting, familiar with advanced treatments (laser, peels, etc.). Strong knowledge of skin types, skin conditions, contraindications and safety protocols. Ability to use, maintain, and troubleshoot skin treatment / laser / aesthetic equipment. Excellent communication skills — able to explain treatment, answer questions, counsel clients. Good interpersonal skills, empathy, and professionalism. Keen attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ability to work in a team and coordinate with doctors, other therapists, front-desk etc. Presentable, punctual, well-groomed. Willingness to work flexible hours if required (e.g., weekends, evenings). Preferred / AdditionalPast experience specifically with laser hair removal, CO₂ laser, Q-switch laser, non-ablative radiofrequency. Certification from recognized aesthetic / skin therapy bodies. Experience in retail / sales of skincare products. Basic computer skills for recording client information and scheduling.
