Site Supervisor

Role & responsibilities

Work Execution

• Supervise

  fabrication activities

  (cutting, welding, drilling, assembly).
• Oversee

  erection operations

  (lifting, bolting, alignment, scaffolding).
• Ensure

  work is carried out as per drawings and specifications

  .

Manpower & Resource Management

• Allocate

  tasks to skilled and unskilled labour

  .
• Monitor

  attendance, productivity, and efficiency

  .
• Coordinate with engineers for

  equipment and consumable requirements

  .

Quality Control

• Check

  dimensions, weld quality, and alignment

  during fabrication and erection.
• Ensure

  bolting torque, welding standards, and finishing

  meet QA/QC requirements.
• Report

  defects or deviations

  immediately to site engineer/project manager.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce

  PPE usage and safe working practices

  .
• Conduct

  toolbox talks

  and monitor crane/lifting safety.
• Ensure compliance with

  industrial and client safety standards

  .

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain

  daily progress reports, labour deployment sheets, and material usage logs

  .
• Report

  site issues, delays, and requirements

  to engineers.
• Assist in preparing

  handover documentation and as-built records

  .

Preferred candidate profile

1.Education:

• Diploma/ITI in Civil/Mechanical/Structural disciplines (or equivalent).

2.Experience:

• 0-3 years in steel fabrication and erection projects (industrial sheds, PEBs, railway, bridges).
• Freshers willing to learn and develop structural skills.

3.Technical Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of fabrication drawings.
• Welding, bolting, and erection sequences.
• Familiarity with QA/QC checks and safety standards.

4.Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management.
• Effective communication (local language proficiency preferred).
• Problemsolving ability for site challenges.

5.Attributes:

• Disciplined, proactive, safetyconscious.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

• MOST IMPORTANT: ABLE TO TRAVEL AND STAY AT SITE DURING PROJECT ERECTION.
