Site Reliability Engineering Professional

The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role involves ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of critical systems and services. SREs blend software engineering and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. Key responsibilities include monitoring system health, automating repetitive tasks, optimizing infrastructure, and collaborating with development teams to improve service reliability and scalability. SREs also handle incident response, root cause analysis, and implement best practices for system security, configuration management, and continuous integration/deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and improve system reliability and performance.
• Automate operational processes and repetitive tasks.
• Respond to incidents and lead root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to implement scalable solutions.
• Establish and maintain system monitoring and alerting.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance standards are followed.
• Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
