Job Description

Position Purpose

The position is a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer, responsible for implementing the technical and functional requirements of application development as well to work on the reduction of toil in the package deliveries.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Strong Experience in providing backend support to applications developed on Java, Oracle, Unix, IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat etc.Strong Experience in interface technologies such as CFT, MQ, Apigee, API's etc.Experience in Developing CI/AD/CT solutions using different DevOps Tools such as Jenkins/Ansible/Git/Sonar etc.Experience with development and deployment of spark application and deployment on Kubernetes clustersHands on development experience with Java and working knowledge on Angular and DB servicesExperience in providing support for release cycles for major/minor/hot fixes releases.Troubleshooting of incidents in case of breakdown on development and production environments.Experience in Health Checks, Monitoring, Monitoring of batches, self-healing etc.Exposure on Monitoring tools Dynatrace, OpenSearchStrong experience in managing IBM WebSphere console for existing/new applications.Experience in writing/executing simple SQL queries,Exposure to migration tools such as RMAN Backup, DBLINK, Data pump etc.Experience in providing solutions to architecture level issues

Create knowledge repositories for future reference and reusability

Should discuss with Team Lead and take decision by own based on situation

Evaluation of new tools and coming with POCs.

Maintain professional and non-hostile environment on floor

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

As a DevOps Engineer specializing in Kubernetes infrastructure and cluster management, you will be responsible for the following:

Design and Implement Kubernetes Infrastructure:Develop robust and scalable Kubernetes infrastructure to support our applications and services, aiming for high availability, reliability, and performance.

Manage Kubernetes Clusters:Set up, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters. Monitor cluster health, performance, and security to optimize operations.

Automate Deployment Processes:Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of applications and services on Kubernetes clusters, using workflow tools like Jenkins and GitLab

Collaborate with Development Teams:Work closely with development teams to understand their requirements and provide Kubernetes-based solutions. Assist in containerizing applications and optimizing resource utilization.

Monitor and Troubleshoot:Proactively monitor Kubernetes clusters for potential issues. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related problems promptly to minimize downtime.

Ensure Security and Compliance:Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards. Manage access controls, network policies, and encryption for Kubernetes clusters.

Document and Train:Create comprehensive documentation for Kubernetes infrastructure and deployment processes. Train team members on best practices and usage guidelines.

Stay Updated with Industry Trends:Keep abreast of the latest trends, tools, and technologies in Kubernetes and DevOps. Continuously improve our infrastructure by integrating new advancements.

Knowledge in using all DevOps Tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Ansible

  • Experience with development and deployment of spark application and deployment on Kubernetes clusters

Exposure to SonarQube and configuring Quality Gates and Rules

Exposure to Regression, Performance and security testing and respective tools

Must be able to interact with development, test & production support team
