Site Manager - Substation

The role offers you the opportunity to lead on-site activities of a project, ensuring cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction, and commissioning phases. As the point of contact for customers and contractors, you will be responsible for liaising between team members and management, requiring strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively both individually and within teams. Assuming ownership of the construction/O&M site, you will plan project on-site activities in collaboration with the Project Manager, managing site personnel and ensuring the delivery of contractual requirements. Your role involves coordinating and driving the performance of site works in line with the contract, prioritizing quality, health, and safety as per Hitachi Energy standards. You will act as the main interface to customer site representatives, engage in technical discussions with customers, and ensure compliance with site-specific health, safety, and environmental plans. Key responsibilities include managing site budget and costs, preparing accurate cost forecasting, communicating deviations, and defining mitigation actions to adhere to the budget. You will oversee the collection and implementation of Lessons Learned from previous projects and ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. To excel in this role, you should hold a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with over 5 years of experience as a Site Manager in EPC Projects or high-voltage installations. Proficiency in high voltage substation commissioning and O&M, teamwork, communication, collaboration, and schedule management is required. You must be self-motivated, proficient in spoken and written English, and capable of driving stakeholders internally and externally.
