Role Purpose:

Responsible for overall supervision, monitoring, and performance of the solar power plant. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant to achieve desired generation and performance benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Monitoring

• Ensure smooth operation of the solar power plant and associated equipment.
  
• Monitor daily generation, performance ratio (PR), and inverter-wise energy output.
  
• Analyze SCADA data and report abnormalities or performance deviations.
  
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance schedules to maximize uptime.
  

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Lead corrective maintenance activities for inverters, strings, transformers, switchgear, and other balance-of-system components.
  
• Supervise module cleaning and vegetation control as per schedule.
  
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for warranty issues or technical support.
  
• Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure availability for critical equipment.
  

3. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and procedures.
  
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce PPE usage.
  
• Maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (CEA, SLDC, DISCOM, etc.).
  

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports for generation, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.
  
• Record all incidents, faults, and corrective actions taken.
  
• Support data reporting for management dashboards and regulatory submissions.
  

5. Team & Vendor Management

• Supervise site technicians, security, and housekeeping teams.
  
• Manage manpower deployment and work allocation efficiently.
  
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance work.
  

6. Performance Improvement

• Identify and implement improvement initiatives for generation enhancement.
  
• Analyze equipment failures and suggest design or operational improvements.
  
• Support in root cause analysis (RCA) for major faults.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, HT/LT equipment, and SCADA systems.
  
• Ability to analyze performance data and identify improvement areas.
  
• Good leadership and communication skills.
  
• Understanding of safety procedures and statutory norms.
  
• Basic knowledge of SAP/CMMS preferred.
  

Qualification & Experience

• Qualification:

  Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Renewable Energy.
