Job Title: Site Head Port Operations (Bulk Material Handling)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end functioning of the site with full ownership of deliverables and safety compliance.
  
• Manage port operations including bulk material handling, vessel unloading, stacking, and cargo dispatch.
  
• Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet operational targets.
  
• Lead, mentor, and set accountability for the site leadership team.
  
• Conduct workforce skill assessment, identify training needs, and implement development programs.
  
• Drive implementation and continual improvement of safety systems (CSM, PPE compliance, audits, etc.).
  
• Ensure high availability and performance of material handling equipment and systems.
  
• Ensure strict compliance with TSBSLs HSE policies and legal/statutory obligations.
  
• Maintain discipline and promote a positive, productive work culture at the site.
  
• Liaise with external stakeholders, consultants, and the client for site performance improvements.
  
• Manage contract compliance and manpower deployment as per project needs.
  
• Resolve technical and operational challenges promptly and effectively.
  
• Ensure timely execution of work orders and MIS reporting.
  
• Manage salary disbursement and statutory requirements of all on-site employees.
  
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to organizational growth.
  

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Zero injury or safety incidents at the site
  
• Minimum 10% annual improvement in operational productivity
  
• 100% compliance with all contractual KPIs
  
• Full implementation of safety systems and legal compliance
  
• Zero downtime due to industrial relations issues
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in handling large-scale port or industrial site operations
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills
  
• In-depth knowledge of material handling systems and port equipment
  
• Good understanding of HSE, statutory, and operational compliance
  
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client coordination skills
  
• Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and drive operational excellence
