Role Overview: As a Simulation Engineer specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Combustion, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality simulations for various projects. Your expertise in gas dynamics, shock interactions, and aerodynamics will be instrumental in providing solutions using simulation tools such as ANSYS FLUENT, Chemkin, Star CCM+, and ANSYS CFX. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your knowledge of Combustion Modeling to deliver accurate simulations - Apply strong fundamentals in CFD, with a preference for Ansys Chemkin knowledge - Demonstrate expertise in gas dynamics, shock interactions, and external aerodynamics - Employ basic knowledge of MATLAB for post-processing - Implement Fluent dynamic and overset meshing techniques - Develop Fluent 6DOF UDFs for specific simulations - Utilize Fluent external Aero best practices - Understand pressure-based and density-based solvers applicability, along with their pros and cons - Handle simulations ranging from low subsonic to hyper-sonic flows, typically in the range of 0.9 to 5 Mach - Perform adaptive meshing for accurate simulations - Submit jobs on clusters using Pbs scripts and RSM - Utilize TUI journal for automation of work - Parameterize through space claim and Fluent for simultaneous design point runs Qualifications Required: - 1-2 years of relevant experience in Chemical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering with a Ph.D. in Combustion modeling - Proficiency in ANSYS FLUENT, STAR CCM+, or other commercial CFD software - Strong background in Combustion, CFD, Aerodynamics, AeroThermodynamics, Scram-jet Engine CFD Modeling, Propulsion, and Liquid Propellant Rocket Engine Physics - Engaging personality, engineering curiosity, and willingness for continuous learning - Sense of urgency, strong organizational skills, and follow-up capabilities Additional Details (if present): Omit this section as there are no additional details provided in the job description.
