Shipping & Purchase Executive

Purpose of the position

The role requires rigorous management of Purchase, Shipping & Logistics Operations pertaining to order processing and driving proactive engagement with different teams.

Work Responsibilities

• Map out the shipping strategy and execute the delivery plan for the business.
• Design, plan and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies
• Work with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments.
• Maintain a database of approved suppliers.
• Co-ordinating with Shipping line and CHA for status of the shipment.
• Coordination with delivery agency (Transporter) for shipment delivery.
• Maintaining DSR and tracking the shipment on a daily basis.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Negotiate lower pricing with suppliers and vendors
• Search and source potential suppliers and vendors
• Track, measure and analyze company expenditures.
• Forecasting the demands of products and materials.
• Set direction and target on Warehousing and Logistics operations to ensure the execution of logistics support in an efficient manner.
• Control shipping costs and ensure there is no shortage or surplus of stock.
• Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement and new initiatives that optimize service, inventory turns, and operational costs for the Company.
• Track and report operations volume (and productivity), customer service level, and all aspects of shipping and logistics costs.
• Ensure smooth transportation and operational planning of all overseas shipments.
• Manage subcontractors, transporter, etc.
• Continuous improvements on Purchase, Shipping & Logistics processes and operations.
• Control the budget of the entire logistics department.
• Work as a team player in purchasing, warehouse, and other managers to optimize different processes.
• Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports.
• Resolve issues related to the shipped orders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
• Report to higher management on issues and other risky activities
• Cost freight analysis of shipments.

Education

MBA or Minimum Bachelor's Degree.

Experience and other requirements

• Minimum 1.5 - 4 years of relevant experience.
• Operations experience in the health sector is highly preferred
• Should be fluent in English and Hindi (both written and spoken)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is mandatory

Working Hours

Days: Monday to Friday.

Time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
