Role & responsibilities

1. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must have hands on experience in working in Aerospace Fabrication with materials like Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Titanium.
• Execution and monitoring of plan Vs Actual.
• Preparation of mitigation plan for miss production.
• Completion of production target on time (Daily/weekly/Monthly).
• Shop shift planning and assurance of adherence.
• Shop consumable planning in advance for procurement.
• Training need identification and planning of training with concern trainers ensuring daily production plan and must maintain the training records.
• Discipline of the shift personnel adherence.
• Should be able to manage and maintain timing adherence of the persons working in the shift as per by laws.
• 5S activity on the shop floor.
• Ensuring safety of the persons working in the shifts.
• Responsible for maintaining the work instructions/other records.
• Timely updaion and maintaining LOGBOOK which involves the details of the shift.
• Proper handling of the machines, tools, instruments by the shift personnel.
• Developing multi-skill plan of the operators with process owner and tracking as per plan.
• Maintaining Inspection, Deviation, Rejection, acceptance records under deviations, concessions, and all other records.
• Responsible for ensuring the sequence of operations given in the Process sheets/route card are followed.
• Responsible for identifying the calibration and arranging for periodic calibration of such gauges/instruments.
• Bring out non- conformities in the systems and find out the deviations in the product for proper corrective and preventive action.
• Responsible for the new component development during the trial production run.
• Must have hands on experience of handing production in Aviation industry.
• Must have knowledge of KAIZEN, Continual improvements and should be able to implements.
• Responsible for cycle time reduction and monitoring of defined cycle time.
• Cross functional collaboration with Engineering, quality, PPC, SCM.
• Must have knowledge of ISO, AS9100, NADCAP (Welding)

2. AUTHORITIES:

• To report directly to Sr. Manager - Manufacturing
• Authorized to allot/change the work in the different work centers.
• Authorized to give permission/out-pass and shift changes for max of 2 days (continuous).
• Authorized to inform the right persons in case of emergency.
