Job Description

Role Overview: As the Shift Incharge - Warehouse Operations at Maersk, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all activities within the warehouse during your shift. Your role will involve coordinating with various departments, ensuring efficient inventory management, supervising warehouse staff, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse during the assigned shift. - Ensure smooth transition between shifts, including proper handover of tasks and information. - Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, packers, and loaders. - Schedule and assign tasks to staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all operations. - Monitor staff performance and provide feedback or corrective actions as needed. - Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. - Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Inventory Control team to manage stock replenishment. - Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy. - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. - Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. - Maintain high standards of quality in all warehouse operations. - Inspect goods for quality and report any discrepancies or issues. - Work with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality-related issues. - Liaise with other departments, such as Procurement, Sales, and Logistics, to ensure efficient operations. - Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates and resolve issues. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. - Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations and improve efficiency. - Prepare and maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory levels, staff attendance, and incident reports. - Generate reports and provide data to management as required. Qualifications and Skills: - Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. - Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least [Y] years in a supervisory role. - Skills: - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. - Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse management.,
