Job Title Sheet metal Parts Quality Job Location - Manaser Job Role 1.Sheet metal parts development and evaluation 2.Failure analysis in Sheet metal Reporting To Section In-charge Level in the organization Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager Educational Qualification Graduation /Diploma - Mechanical engineering /Production Engineering Work Experience - 2 to 5 Yrs Job Responsibilities > Knowledge of manufacturing process of Sheet metal parts > BIW part evaluation & failure analysis. > Technical guidance to vendor for Sheet metal parts manufacturing process. > Sheet metal stamping , welding and material technical know how should be available. > Part & Process evaluations preferable for new product development. vAnalysis of Part Quality issues & countermeasure planning. vNew product development activity planning > Planning for zero defect production lines setup at Vendors. > PFMEA and required actions planning with vendors. > Advance Quality planning for new parts development. >Analysis of part quality issues & countermeasure planning for mass production models Competencies / Skills > Knowledge of Sheet metal Stamping & Welding process > Expertise in checking fixture & welding fixture design & concept generation. > Good understanding of raw material spec & usage areas. > Effective problem solver with skill to lead root cause investigation. > Practical application of Quality Control Tools, including theoretical background of SPC, Analytical tools and Six sigma. > Working Knowledge of Tools / Dies & various inspection aids (gauges /Jigs / Fixtures / Test Rigs, Etc.). >Clear & Good communication skills. > Ability to work in lean, multi tasking environment. > Ability to handle the product & situation independently. Specific Expertise for Functional area > Should be well versed with various sheet metal manufacturing processes like Stamping & Spot welding, etc. >Having experience in Automobile Industry (4/2 wheeler / LCV ) > Knowledge about the checking fuxture concept >Computer environment proficiency is essential for proper Documentation, presentation and its data retrieval. (MS office). > Openness & positive attitude to work in team > Good understanding of Failure /Root cause analysis
