Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB features.
Drive technical direction for CI lifecycle, data normalization, and discovery patterns.
Coordinate with Data Quality and ITAM teams to improve asset lifecycle accuracy.
Mentor junior developers and review code for Discovery and CMDB enhancements.
Maintain governance through health dashboards and reconciliation rules.
Manage and remediate discovery issues including stale or duplicated CIs.
Oversee automation of CI lifecycle workflows from onboarding to decommissioning.
Participate in sprint planning and serve as technical SME for the team.
Ensure compliance with ITOM/ITAM standards and controls.

Required Experience:

Extensive hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and CI lifecycle.
Strong skills in Discovery pattern development, probe tuning, and MID Server config.
Experience with Service Graph Connector, CI integrations, and third-party data sources.
Proven scripting ability using JavaScript and the Glide API.
Agile experience using JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools.
Experience using Flow Designer
Implement and manage ServiceNow integrations
Work with Transform Maps, Scripts, and Integration Hub ETL
Maintain CMDB health, ensure data quality, and manage IRE rules
Support IT Asset Management (ITAM) and CMDB processes
Follow and enforce ServiceNow best practices

Required Skills:

Advanced ServiceNow Development (Discovery, CMDB, core scripting).
Strong debugging and log interpretation for discovery failures.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage complex workflows and multitask across priorities.

Desired Skills:

Python scripting for custom data ingestion.
Experience with ITOM Visibility, CCC, and APM modules.
Kepner-Tregoe or Root Cause Analysis experience.
Performance Analytics and ServiceNow reporting skills.
CSA Certified System Administrator
CAD Certified Application Developer
Certified Implementation Specialist (e.g., ITSM, CMDB, Discovery)
