ServiceNow Application Developer (UI/Portal Focus)

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Application Developer with a strong background in UI/Portal development and custom application design
• The ideal candidate will be proficient in building engaging user interfaces using ServiceNows UI Builder, Seismic framework, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS and React
• This role involves end-to-end development, integration, and optimization of ServiceNow solutions to meet diverse business needs

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom ServiceNow applications with a focus on UI/portal development, leveraging UI Builder and Seismic framework for an enhanced user experience
• Build reusable and scalable components to support long-term platform maintainability
• Design, build, and implement REST API integrations and advanced configurations using Flow Designer to ensure seamless process automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and ensure smooth delivery throughout the development lifecycle
• Apply JavaScript, AngularJS, and React expertise to create responsive and high-performing web applications within ServiceNow
• Maintain code quality standards, utilizing modern software development tools (IDEs, debuggers, source control, build tools)
• Follow best practices in object-oriented design, data structure optimization, and design pattern implementation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to organizational development standards

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Application Developer
• Experience in any module: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, CSM, SPM, HRSD, or GRC
• Proven ability in developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform
• Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow App Engine, ServiceNow Studio, UI Builder, Workspaces, and Integration Hub
• Proficiency in JavaScript scripting, ServiceNow workflows, and integration design
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Effective team player capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or other relevant certifications
• Experience with ServiceNow Seismic design framework and UI Builder custom components
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to integration tools (REST, SOAP, API gateways)
