Job Title: Service Supervisor –

Overview

The Service Supervisor oversees daily operations in a German automotive service center, ensuring high-quality customer service, efficient workshop performance, and adherence to brand standards (e.g., Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche). This role acts as the link between customers, technicians, and management to guarantee smooth workflow and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet customers, understand service needs, and ensure a premium customer experience.
  • Oversee service advisors and support them in preparing accurate repair orders.
  • Handle complex customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally.
  • Ensure timely communication with customers regarding job status, approvals, and delivery.

Workshop Coordination

  • Supervise daily workshop operations and assign jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload.
  • Monitor repair progress to ensure timely completion and high-quality workmanship.
  • Implement brand-specific service procedures and technical guidelines.
  • Coordinate with parts department to ensure availability of required components.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Conduct pre-delivery quality checks to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and manufacturer protocols.
  • Monitor diagnostic processes and verify accuracy of repairs and maintenance work.

Team Leadership

  • Train, mentor, and support service advisors and technicians.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain a professional, efficient work environment.

Administrative & Reporting Duties

  • Review and approve job estimates, invoices, and warranty claims.
  • Track workshop KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports for management.
  • Maintain accurate service records in the dealer management system (DMS).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in automotive service supervision or workshop management.
  • Strong knowledge of German vehicle brands and diagnostic systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical background or certification in automotive mechanics preferred.
  • Familiarity with DMS software and basic administrative procedures.
