Job Description

L3 ServiceNow Administrator Vulnerability Response (VR) & Integrated Risk Management (IRM)

Responsibilities

  • Provide

    L3 support

    for ServiceNow

    IRM

    and

    Vulnerability Response

    modules, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes.
  • Perform

    maintenance of existing configurations

    (workflows, forms, business rules, notifications, integrations).
  • Ensure

    module stability and performance

    by monitoring jobs, scheduled imports, and data accuracy.
  • Maintain and update

    access controls (ACLs)

    , user roles, and group permissions in IRM/VR.
  • Support

    continuous patching and upgrades

    by validating functionality post-upgrade.
  • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure VR & IRM configurations align with organizational policies.
  • Conduct

    periodic health checks

    for module data (e.g., vulnerability scan imports, risk assessments, policy exceptions).
  • Collaborate with platform architects and developers for

    complex fixes or new feature requests

    .
  • Prepare and maintain

    support documentation

    (KB articles, runbooks, troubleshooting guides).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8-10 years of ServiceNow administration experience, with at least

    3+ years hands-on in IRM and VR modules

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    ServiceNow platform administration

    – tables, update sets, data policies, ACLs, notifications, service catalog, reports.
  • Experience in handling

    L3 production support

    (incident, problem, change processes).
  • Familiarity with

    IRM components

    : Risk Management, Policy & Compliance, Audit Management, Authority Documents, Indicators.
  • Familiarity with

    Vulnerability Response components

    : Vulnerability Groups, Vulnerability Items, integrations with scanners (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze logs, scheduled jobs, and integration issues for troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in

    JavaScript (Glide API)

    for debugging and small fixes.
  • Knowledge of

    ServiceNow upgrade process

    and ability to validate customizations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Mandatory ServiceNow

    CSA

    certification.
  • Preferred with

    CIS (IRM/VR)

    certifications.
  • Exposure to other modules (SecOps, ITSM, GRC).
  • Experience in

    integration troubleshooting

    (MID Server, API, REST/SOAP).
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, HIPAA, SOX) and vulnerability management lifecycle.
