Pioneer Furnaces has been a leading manufacturer of industrial furnaces, for various applications, in the field of melting and heating for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as auxiliary equipments like handling systems, charging machines, special purpose machines for foundries, extrusion plants and rolling mills, and heat treatment plants, since more than 40 years, with a wide customer base in India and abroad.

Role & responsibilities

A Service Engineer for Channel Furnaces and other capital equipment is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of product. They ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety of the product.

• Installation:

• Overseeing the installation of new channel furnaces and other capital equipment, ensuring proper setup and connection to power sources and control systems.
• Configuring equipment parameters according to customer specifications and industry standards.

• Maintenance:

• Conducting routine maintenance checks.
• Replacing worn-out or damaged parts to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal machine operations.

• Repair & Troubleshooting

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and control system issues in the installed products.
• Troubleshooting faults and identifying root causes to implement effective solutions
• Responding to customer service calls and resolving equipment problems in a timely manner.
• Assisting customers in optimizing furnace performance and energy efficiency.

• Documentation:

• Maintaining detailed records of service activities, including maintenance schedules, repair history, and customer interactions.
• Preparing technical reports and documentation as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations, repairs, and maintenance.
