Job Description: Service Engineer- Industrial Coating Solutions.Company: Nordson India Pvt Ltd. Position Title: Service Engineer - Industrial Coating Solutions. Location: Bangalore.Job Overview:The Nordson Industrial Coating Solutions Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and service for Nordson's industrial coating systems. This role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and spare parts sales of coating equipment, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Service Engineer will also work closely with customers to identify their needs and provide solutions to improve system operations.Key Responsibilities: Lead the installation and commissioning of Nordson industrial coating systems at customer sites, ensuring that equipment is set up, calibrated, and functioning properly. Provide training to customers on the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of coating systems. Conduct on-site diagnostics to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime for customers. Work with internal teams to coordinate repairs and ensure parts and tools are available for service tasks. Offer remote and on-site technical support to customers as needed, answering queries and providing solutions related to coating systems. Provide detailed service reports, documentation, and feedback to customers on the status of their equipment. Assist customers with system optimizations and adjustments to improve performance. Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing excellent service and support. Identify opportunities for additional services or upgrades based on customer needs and operational performance. Address customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary to ensure timely resolutions. Work closely with Nordson sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Submit detailed field service reports after every service call, documenting activities and recommendations.Qualifications & Skills: Education:o BE/BTech degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics. Experience:o Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in servicing industrial coating systems or similar equipment or any other service field. o knoeledge for n PLC is added advantage. Technical Skills:o Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. o Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:o Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify problems and find effective solutions. Communication Skills:o Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams effectively. o Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Other Requirements:o Willingness to travel extensively for on-site service work. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Monitor and analyse competitor activities, strategies, and market trends to identify opportunities and threats.
