Description
As a Service Engineer at OEM, your primary role is to ensure the heavy types of equipment are in safe operating condition by conducting routine maintenance and scheduling needed repairs. You will be responsible for planning and executing day-to-day maintenance activities of heavy mobile mining machinery like Loaders, Underground Drilling Machines, Jumbos, HDD, DTH surface drill rigs, face drilling rigs to blast hole drilling rigs. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the maintenance of all plant heavy equipment to identify and eliminate equipment breakdowns. - Perform routine checks on raising equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. - Test repaired raising equipment for proper performance and ensure work meets manufacturers' specifications. - Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on raising equipment. - Liaise with OEM service engineers/representatives for equipment commissioning, warranty, product support, and technical manpower development. - Ensure proper housekeeping before and after any maintenance works. - Conduct performance appraisals of staff/intending staff for proper upgrading/selection. - Ensure the safety of men working with you according to company safety practices/guidelines and the safety of equipment under your control. Qualifications Required: - Diploma / Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. - Minimum of 4 to 10 years of experience in Loader / HEMM maintenance & service. Skills and Competencies: - Knowledge of repair and maintenance of UG heavy equipment. - Good oral and written communication skills. - Strong networking and teaming skills. - Proficient in data gathering and analysis. - Ability in problem analysis and solving. - Creativity and thinking out of the box. - Proficiency in the use of office productivity tools.
