For the Aftersales department, FCI is now looking for a Service Engineer to be located temporarily at their premises in Pirangut (Pune) for initial at least one year and then on an undefined term in PAN India to take care of all service-related activities areas defined hereunder. The Service Engineer will join a small team at a subsidiary of a highly successful European compressor company.

You will be involved in and expected to:

• Commission, troubleshoot, attend Emergency Breakdown, and complete maintenance of air compressors from 45kW to 630kW.

4 - 5 years relevant experience

Turbo Machinery, Engines

• Provide general assistance to other departments like production, quality, or supply chain in case the applicant could be of some help.
• Travel extensively across India and occasionally abroad
• Work in factory on request of production team.
• Convince customers to use genuine spares & periodical servicing.
• Report the Spares & Services Documentation, Commissioning report, Service report, etc.
• Attend all service call from your assigned territory activities covering Preventive maintenance, breakdown service or routine visit.

Desired Candidate

• Academically, you have a Diploma or Mechanical/Electrical Engineer with minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial environment, preferably rotating machinery.
• The right candidate shall have a willingness to learn and develop competences in high pressure rotating equipment and their systems.
• The Service Engineer shall have a thorough knowledge of mechanical, maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Even though the applicant would mainly be dedicated to mechanical jobs there would be some electrical works involved, panel electrical diagram troubleshooting, electrical panel wiring.
• The candidate should be familiar and intuitive using any electronic items (VSD, Soft Starter, Compressor PLC).
• A good knowledge of Excel and Word is required.
• You should be highly proficient in both written and spoken English. Experience in working with foreign companies in India will be considered an advantageous qualification.
• Willing to travel extensively and work on weekends.
• Important personal attributes are strong problem solving and creative skills, combined with the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• The candidate will require a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• They shall have a confident manner and be able to explain their opinions and views in open debate with colleagues.
• It is essential that they function as part of a team but be able to take the initiative when required. The successful candidate shall be organized, thorough and hard-working.
