Role Overview: As an Automotive Service Advisor, your primary responsibility will be managing the service experience for customers in an automotive service environment. You will oversee customer vehicles from check-in to completion of service, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction throughout the entire process. Key Responsibilities: - Greet customers and listen to their vehicle concerns or service requests. - Provide expert advice on automotive services and repair needs. - Clearly explain repair options, service packages, and estimated costs to customers. - Schedule service appointments and manage the service calendar to optimize shop efficiency. - Collaborate with technicians and mechanics to ensure all service work is performed correctly and on time. - Ensure customer vehicles are handled with care and returned in proper condition. - Resolve any billing issues or discrepancies in a professional and timely manner. - Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any complaints, concerns, or queries promptly and professionally. - Work closely with the service team, parts department, and management to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of services. - Coordinate with the parts department to ensure necessary parts are available for repairs and service work. Qualifications Required: - Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in automotive technology, business, or a related field is a plus. - Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Service Advisor, preferably in the automotive industry. - Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, basic knowledge of automotive parts and service procedures, familiarity with service advisor software and systems. - Personality Traits: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, customer-focused with a strong service mindset, ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment. - Language Skills: Fluency in Tamil and English (knowledge of other regional languages is a plus). Additional Details: The preferred qualifications include previous experience working in a dealership or large service center, understanding of automotive warranty procedures, and certification in automotive service or related fields. Please note that this is a full-time position, typically requiring availability for weekends or evening shifts, and the ability to stand for long periods and handle light physical tasks like carrying parts or checking vehicles.
