Service Advisor- Auto mobile

Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role requires strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service. Experience in dealership operations, auto service management, and automotive diagnostics is highly valued. The Service Advisor will coordinate repairs, estimate costs, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
• Prepare detailed service estimates using auto estimating tools and communicate options clearly.
• Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, and transmission services when appropriate.
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
• Explain repair procedures and costs to customers in an understandable manner.
• Write service orders and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of automotive repair processes including diesel engine repair, auto body repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and other mechanical components.
• Assist in promoting additional sales opportunities through excellent customer service and product knowledge.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dealership or auto service environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes.
• Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, oil changes, suspension systems, tire services, brake repairs, shocks & struts, diesel engines, auto body repair, alignment, air brakes, and other automotive systems is highly desirable.
• Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
