Server Administrator

You should have knowledge of Managing Networks, Server Installation and Maintenance, Hosting websites on servers located at various data centers, and Building Firewalls and Security Systems for the internal network. Skills required include the ability to manage both WINDOWS and LAMP environments, experience in Linux server administration, apache, samba, FTP, DNS, CPanel, Plesk, IP-Tables, expertise in managing network equipment like switches and routers, and knowledge of PHP will be an added advantage. Key responsibilities include managing and setting up all kinds of Server Editions in 2003, 2008 and above, deploying & managing Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, WINS, WDS, backup & restore AD, DHCP, WINS, ticketing tool management & tracking tickets with SLA priority basis, deploying & managing server monitoring tools like Nagios, Cacti, OpsView, patch management WSUS, SCCM, deploying & managing antivirus server servers & client with updates, concepts of RAID volumes & levels, remote control management & tools, software distribution, operating system deployment, network access protection, and hardware and software inventory. Other duties include backups concepts, troubleshooting with high-level commands, deploying & managing mail server Exchange (OWA) or Lotus Notes, file server, print server, application server, installing, managing & maintaining project-related applications, installing & managing IIS, FTP, VPN configurations, Linux server administrator for all kinds of Linux Server Editions, booting procedure of Linux server, user administration, managing, maintaining & troubleshooting LVM FS creation/extend/FS issues & recover, managing, maintaining software install/remove/ticketing tool, managing/configuring files/folder permissions, basic services configuration/troubleshooting e.g. NFS, FTP, SAMBA, DNS, DHCP, deploying & managing patch management and rollback, and providing technical support to international web hosting clients.
