About the Role: We are looking for a skilled professional on a contractual basis to clean and secure the hosting account of one of our clients. The website has been facing malware and virus-related issues, and we require a thorough cleanup, security hardening, and hosting organization. Responsibilities: Scan and remove all malware, viruses, and malicious code from the hosting account (multiple websites may be involved). Secure the hosting to prevent future attacks (firewall setup, security plugins, permission audits, etc.). Identify vulnerabilities and fix security loopholes. Ensure websites are functioning correctly post-cleanup. Organize hosting files and directories for better manageability. Recommend and implement best practices for ongoing hosting security. Provide a brief report of work done and precautions to be followed going forward. Requirements: Proven experience in malware removal and hosting security (especially with cPanel, WordPress, WHM or similar environments). Familiarity with tools like Wordfence, Sucuri, Imunify360, or similar. Ability to work independently and complete the task within the agreed timeline. Strong communication and documentation skills. Nice to Have: Experience with website migration, backups, and server hardening. Basic knowledge of DNS, SSL, and CDN configurations.
