You are an experienced Linux System Administrator responsible for managing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based systems and infrastructure. Your role involves troubleshooting, tuning, upgrading, and patching Linux operating systems, ensuring system health and performance. You must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills to support IT operations, security, and compliance requirements in a 24x7 shift environment. Your key responsibilities include managing all installed systems and infrastructure, troubleshooting and monitoring RedHat and CentOS systems, performing OS upgrades, mitigating vulnerabilities, managing user accounts, and ensuring system hardening and compliance with CIS standards. You will provide support during IT audits, enforce operating system policies, and support datacenter activities. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, with AWS certification being a plus and ITIL certification preferred. You should have proven working experience as a Linux Administrator in a large-scale environment, proficiency in managing LVM, Apache, Samba, and NFS, and a strong understanding of security hardening techniques. Basic scripting knowledge in Bash and Python is required. Familiarity with Virtualization Platforms such as VMware is desirable. A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is essential. The SRE & Systems team at Realpage is a global team responsible for supporting, provisioning, and de-provisioning multiple open-source application environments. As an ENGINEER I at RealPage, you will report to the Sr. MANAGER - SRE & Systems and play a key role in provisioning, de-provisioning, and supporting various open-source application environments" infrastructure.
