Job Description

Job Summary

The SEO Specialist is responsible for improving the companys organic search visibility and driving targeted traffic to websites. This role includes conducting keyword research, optimizing on-page and off-page SEO, analyzing performance data, and implementing strategies to achieve higher search engine rankings.

Key Responsibilities

1. On-Page Optimization

  • Perform keyword research using tools (Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headings, URLs, and content.
  • Improve website structure, internal linking, and user experience.
  • Ensure proper use of schema markup, structured data, and SEO best practices.

2. Off-Page Optimization

  • Build high-quality backlinks through white-hat link-building strategies.
  • Conduct outreach and manage relationships with bloggers and webmasters.
  • Analyze competitor backlinks and identify opportunities.

3. Technical SEO

  • Audit websites for crawl errors, indexation issues, page speed, and mobile friendliness.
  • Work with developers to fix technical issues (XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags).
  • Optimize Core Web Vitals and site performance.

4. SEO Reporting & Analytics

  • Track website performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO tools.
  • Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Provide regular reporting with insights and recommendations.

5. Content Strategy

  • Collaborate with content writers to create SEO-friendly content.
  • Develop content calendars based on keyword opportunities and search trends.
  • Optimize existing content to improve rankings and user engagement.

6. Competitor & Market Research

  • Analyze competitors’ SEO strategies and industry trends.
  • Identify new opportunities for organic growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience in SEO (on-page, off-page, and technical).
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Good understanding of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and keyword research tools.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website architecture (basic level).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, or other CMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of content marketing and copywriting principles.
  • Understanding of local SEO, Google My Business, and schema markup.
  • Familiarity with link-building strategies and outreach tools.
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimization.
