SEO Intern

Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven SEO Intern to join our marketing team. The intern will assist in optimizing our website to increase organic search traffic, improve search engine rankings, and drive qualified leads. This role offers hands-on experience with SEO best practices—including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO—using various industry-standard tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keyword Research: Identify high-impact keywords for content optimization and new content creation.
• On-Page Optimization: Enhance meta tags, headers, images, and content for better organic visibility.
• Technical SEO: Support in performing site audits, resolving technical issues, and maintaining website health.
• Content Strategy: Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly blog posts, web pages, and landing pages.
• Link Building: Assist in acquiring high-quality backlinks to strengthen domain authority.
• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.
• Competitor Analysis: Evaluate competitor websites and identify growth opportunities.
• Local SEO: Optimize Google My Business profile and improve visibility for local searches.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and development teams to align SEO strategies with overall marketing goals.
• Stay Updated: Keep track of the latest algorithm updates, SEO trends, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and general web development principles related to SEO.
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Ubersuggest.
• Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to generate and interpret SEO performance reports.
• Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
