Senior WordPress Developer Team Lead

As a dynamic Web Designer & Developer at XtecGlobal, you will lead a team of WordPress developers and designers in the end-to-end development of cutting-edge web projects. Your role will involve overseeing project lifecycles, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and aligning technical execution with business objectives. You will be at the forefront of technical leadership, project management, and team development. Your responsibilities will include: Team & People Management: - Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of WordPress developers and UI/UX designers. - Define performance goals, conduct regular one-on-ones, and support team development plans. - Implement best practices in coding standards, QA processes, and documentation. Project & Delivery Oversight: - Manage WordPress website development projects from requirements gathering to launch. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, marketers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment. - Monitor project timelines, scope, and budget for efficient delivery. Technical Leadership: - Review code, troubleshoot issues, and guide the team in custom WordPress development. - Ensure responsive, optimized, and SEO-friendly websites. - Oversee integration of APIs, CRMs, eCommerce platforms, and third-party tools. Performance, SEO & Security: - Drive initiatives to optimize website performance and Google Core Web Vitals. - Implement SEO best practices and secure WordPress environments. - Lead efforts in regular audits, updates, and maintenance. Process & Communication: - Establish agile project management methodologies and streamline workflows. - Act as an escalation point for technical issues and project roadblocks. - Provide regular status reports, KPIs, and technical documentation. Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum 7 years of experience in WordPress development with 3+ years in a team lead role. - Proficiency in WordPress, Divi, Elementor, WooCommerce, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, REST APIs, Git, and more. - Design & UX awareness with experience in translating designs and optimizing websites. - Familiarity with SEO tools, security measures, project management platforms, and enterprise-level SEO tools.
