Senior UI UX Designer

You are a talented and empathetic Creative UI/UX Designer who will be joining a team focused on creating engaging and accessible digital experiences for children with autism. Your role will involve designing mobile applications that incorporate gamification, animations, and illustrations tailored to meet the unique needs of children on the autism spectrum. **Responsibilities:** - Design and develop mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, focusing on creating an intuitive and sensory-friendly user experience for children with autism. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including developers, psychologists, and educators to understand the specific needs and challenges of the target audience. - Conceptualize and create interactive and visually stimulating gamified experiences that promote skill development, engagement, and learning for children with autism. - Utilize your expertise in animations and illustrations to design characters, environments, and interactive elements that are appealing and accessible to individuals with diverse sensory sensitivities. - Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from children with autism, parents, and professionals to iteratively refine and improve the app design. - Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and technologies related to autism intervention, educational gaming, and inclusive design principles. - Work closely with developers to ensure the seamless integration of design elements, animations, and gamification mechanics into the final product. - Maintain high standards of design quality, consistency, and accessibility throughout the development process. **Requirements:** - Proven experience of 9 years or more in mobile app design, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in gamification, animations, and illustrations. - Strong understanding of the principles of child development, autism spectrum disorders, and inclusive design. - Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma, as well as animation software like Adobe After Effects or Spine. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. - Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children with autism through creative and innovative technology solutions. - Good knowledge of instructional design will be an added advantage. - Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Interaction Design, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
