Senior Testing Engineer

• PROTECTION ENGINEERS REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in testing and maintaining electrical relays, protection systems, and associated test equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of all makes of protection relays (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, GE, SEL, etc.) and their specific testing requirements.
• Hands-on experience with relay testing equipment such as Omicron, Doble, MR, and other industry-standard test kits.
• Solid understanding of electrical protection schemes, power systems, and relay coordination.
• Experience with both high-voltage and low-voltage systems in power plants and substations.
• Proficient in using test software, including configuration and analysis of test results.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for protection relay circuits and related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, relay manuals, and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills for client and team interaction.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, often under time-sensitive conditions.
• Willingness to travel to various locations across India as required for project assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Protection and Control from recognized institutions or manufacturers.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, and IS.
• Experience with SCADA systems and relay communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850).
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies and troubleshooting techniques.
