Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Transformer Testing Engineer, located in Kolkata. The Testing Engineer will oversee day-to-day testing procedure and troubleshoot, focusing on enhancing customer satisfaction and ensure the safety. Lead and execute routine testing of transformers (up to 25 MVA/33KV) as per relevant standards. Develop and implement test procedures, protocols, and documentation for newly developed or customized transformer designs. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues identified during testing. Supervise the testing team and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Coordinate with the design and quality departments to ensure product compliance. Prepare and maintain detailed test reports and analysis for internal records and customer inspections. Interface with third-party inspection agencies and customer representatives during FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests). Ensure calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment and instrumentation. Qualifications B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 10-15 years of hands-on experience in testing of power and distribution transformers in a manufacturing setup. Deep knowledge of transformer testing standards (IS 2026, IEC 60076, ANSI, etc.). Experience in handling customer and third-party inspections. Familiarity with electrical testing instruments such as CT/PT testers, tan delta kits, power analyzers, winding resistance meters, etc. Proficient in preparing detailed test reports and documentation. Ability to work with team of technical personnel. Strong ability of identifying the technical issues Proven leadership abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
