As a Senior Test Automation Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of location strategy projects by ensuring adherence to plan, budget, quality, and governance standards. Your primary responsibility will be to drive innovation and excellence in the digital landscape, utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance our digital offerings and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Build robust UI/API automation frameworks and suites (Selenium, Appium, REST Assured) using Java/Python, JUnit/TestNG, and maintain reusable libraries and test data strategies. - Automate validations for OAuth2/OpenID Connect/SAML, token lifecycles, and secure storage, and integrate biometric SDK test flows. - Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab), enforce quality gates, and support containerized test execution (Docker/Kubernetes). - Lead defect triage with developers/POs, contribute to risk & controls, RCA, and release signoff criteria. - Must Have Skills: Java and/or Python; Selenium/Appium/REST Assured; JUnit/TestNG; CI/CD tooling; authentication protocol knowledge; OWASP principles. Qualifications Required: - Experience in performance/security automation, penetration testing tool awareness, observability (ELK/Splunk/AppDynamics), ISTQB certification, or security certifications. - Assessment on critical skills like risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills may be conducted. As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be based out of Pune and will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing testing strategies to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, continuously improve testing processes, and ensure software quality and reliability. In your role, you will be accountable for: - Developing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with quality standards. - Creating and executing automated test scripts to facilitate early defect detection and quality issues resolution. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and develop acceptance criteria. - Performing root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to support defect resolution. - Promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing through peer collaboration and code reviews. - Staying informed of industry technology trends and actively contributing to fostering technical excellence within the organization.
