Cloud Data Engineer

As a Cloud Data Engineer at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of the infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of digital solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete, and consistent data. - Design and implementation of data warehouses and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures. - Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes. - Collaboration with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models. **Qualifications Required:** - Expertise in PySpark. - Experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, CloudFormation, etc. - Strong SQL knowledge. - Very good understanding of writing and debugging code. - Quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Good knowledge of Python. - Good understanding of SCM tools like GIT. - Previous working experience within the banking or financial services domain. - Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Starburst, Iceberg.
