As an Analyst - Banking Product Control at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of trading activities. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the bank's trading book, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide insights into trading performance. This role will be based out of Chennai. **Role Overview:** In this role, you will be responsible for: - Reconciliation of daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks to ensure alignment with valued positions in the trading book - Supporting the identification, assessment, and mitigation of trading risks - Maintaining and analyzing the bank's trading data for accuracy and consistency - Preparing and submitting regulatory reports and supporting external audits - Effectively communicating complex financial information to various stakeholders **Key Responsibilities:** - Reconcile daily P&L figures for trading desks and investigate discrepancies - Support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating trading risks - Maintain and analyze trading data for accuracy and consistency - Prepare and submit regulatory reports and support external audits - Communicate complex financial information to stakeholders - Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a coordinated approach to trading activities **Qualifications Required:** - Experienced with MS Office toolkit (Word, PPT, Excel, Access Database etc) - Qualified accountant - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Ability to interact with global teams - Strong control awareness and ability to identify potential control breakdowns - Attention to detail and analytical skills - Confident and assertive manner If you possess additional qualifications such as CFA/masters in finance, financial engineering, article ship/industrial trainee experience, or audit exposure in large financial institutions, it would be advantageous.
